Cochrane's Transport in partnership with FreightSafe can offer customers coverage for those rare occasions when freight is lost or damaged. This can provide piece of mind when transporting valuable or easily damaged freight.
While we take care to provide a secure and safe freight transport service this warranty can provide a level of coverage for when the unforeseen occurs.
The FreightSafe Warranty is available to our customers at a rate of $0.50 per consignment. A small price to pay to help protect you for freight loss or damage of up to $2,000 per consignment.

The claims process is managed independently by FreightSafe.
The claim process is fast and there is no excess applied to the amount claimed, with the exception of glass related products.
In order to lodge your claim you should have already notified Cochrane's Transport of your lost or damaged consignment and you will need the following documents.
- Cost Price Invoice / Proof of Manufactured Cost
- Photos of Damage - (Required for Damage Claims)
- Photos of Packaging - (Required for Damage Claims)
- Proof of Delivery (POD) - (Required for Damage Claims)
- Sales Invoice
All damaged goods should be held throughout the claims process and made available to Cochrane's Transport for collection if required.
